"Hi everyone,
the last month or so has just gone off for me musically so I thought I really should start selling myself as I have recently had an abundance of gigs. I also want to convince some of you out there who don't believe I actually do play (not mentioning any names, Melissa!)
Recently I have been doing a lot of work with Sydney poet Robert Balas, writing music to his text and we have been getting regular gigs with the national Trust, so for any of you who are interested in house renovations, they get us to help them celebrate at old houses around Sydney they are saving from demolition by renovating them. Another lot of interesting gigs I have been doing include the TAP gallery poetry reading nights, the first Saturday of each month, as well as the Real Refuse Exhibition there, those artists who got knocked back from the Archibald. I have also done a couple of local Wollongong gigs such as Zest restaurant which may become a regular.
…and I had better sneak in a wedding in Norway in August!!! I’m sure the boys would love to see more Aussies there if you can afford a little ticket to come over!!!
Also for future dates, great artist Melissa and I are hoping to have a joint exhibition of her work and my CD launch in February at UOW, and possibly a second launch in Sydney…that’s still on the cards…but I’ll let you know.
Anyway I’ll keep you updated on other things that are happening as they eventuate.
I’m STILL thanking those of you who were involved in my 40th (2 years later!) as that’s what started this ball rolling!
